Next Lexus F: A Super-Sedan In The Making?

Published on December 17, 2014 in Detroit by Frédérick Boucher-Gaulin

After showing us that they intend to produce a full array of performance vehicles with the launch of the RC F, Lexus teased a picture of the next car that will bear the F badge.

For now, information about this new vehicle is limited, but we can see an aggressive front fascia with LED lights, large wheels and high-performance brakes. Unfortunately, that's about all we can see so far.

If we want to learn more, we have to go to the rumour mill: a short while ago, we saw some Lexus sedans driving hard around the Nurburgring, so this upcoming sedan could be an answer to BMW's M5 and Mercedes-AMG's E63. If this is the case, what we are looking at in the above pictures might be the Lexus GS F. It could pack a 500-horsepower V8, and send its power through an eight-speed transmission to the rear wheels.

There is nothing confirmed yet, however; to find out for sure what this car is, we will have to wait until January 13, when Lexus will unveil their next F car at the Detroit Auto Show.
