Vision Gran Turismo: It's Infiniti's Turn

Each month, Vision Gran Turismo presents us with a new vehicle that is added to the digital Gran Turismo 6 car roster. In case you don’t remember what Vision GT is, here’s a quick reminder: Sony enlisted designers from various car manufacturers, and asked them to create a vehicle that would showcase the future of their brand. Many of them (Mitsubishi, Nissan, AMG, Chevrolet, Volkswagen…) have already shown us what they can do, and their ideas range from the quite doable to the completely crazy.

It’s now Infiniti’s turn to unveil their concept. The car is already available in the PlayStation Store, and we can discover it in pictures here. It’s a GT car, with two doors and a front mid-engine layout. Infiniti’s Beijing studio designed it.

A V8 engine powers the beast. Since it’s located behind the front axle, the car is very stable. The bodywork has been designed to be aerodynamic, though the car will probably never see a real-life road.

… Or will it? Infiniti is poised to reveal a new coupe at the Detroit Auto Show. Could this concept be based on a future production model?
