Miami Vice’s Ferrari Testarossa Up For Grabs

Do you remember Miami Vice? If you were born in the last two decades, probably not. For the others, this show was the epitome of the eighties. It had a catchy soundtrack, distinctive clothes and it was about the drug trade in Florida. Car guys were also entranced by the vehicles showcased. Week after week, it was a non-stop reel of supercars, including the Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari Daytona and Testarossa…

If you are nostalgic of the show (or the era), here is the ultimate piece of memorabilia: the 1986 Ferrari Testarossa painted in cocaine Miami Vice White that was driven by the heroes from the third season onward. The car’s history is an interesting one: In the first two seasons, their car was a Ferrari Daytona replica, mounted on a C3 Corvette chassis. Ferrari was not pleased, and they sued the replica’s builder. They also made a deal with the show’s production studio: Ferrari would give them two brand-new Testarossas, but the Daytona replica would have to be destroyed on screen (it happened in the first episode of season 3).

This Testarossa is sold via eBay, and it has all the documents proving it is one of the original vehicles. It has only been driven 16,000 miles, and can be yours for $1,750,000.
