Diesel Land Rovers For North America

If you are looking to combine the typically British luxury of a Land Rover with surprisingly good fuel economy, the manufacturer has unveiled something that might interest you: the Range Rover HSE Td6 and Range Rover Sport HSE Td6.

As their names imply, these two SUVs are powered by turbodiesel mills. Displacing 3 litres and generating 254 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque, the engine is bolted to a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox.

These trucks can not only get from 0 to 100 km/h in 7 seconds, but they are also capable of being extremely frugal: in perfect conditions, the Range Rover HSE Td6 can drive for 100 km using only 8.4 litres of fuel.
