Audi Q3 Updated For Detroit

Published on January 14, 2015 in Detroit by Frédérick Boucher-Gaulin

After unveiling their full-size Q7 SUV at the Detroit Auto Show, Audi quietly presented the 2016 Q3, its smaller sibling. This vehicle is taking its first steps on our continent, but it has already been sold in the rest of the world for a few years. To keep its look fresh, the manufacturer applied some changes.

The 2016 Q3 features a new bumper, a large single-frame grille and new front and rear lights.

While we don’t know exactly what will sit under the North American Q3’s hood (we highly suspect it will be an engine), this crossover is offered in a variety of configurations: in Europe there are six different four-cylinder powerplants available. The RS Q3, a five-cylinder model outputting 340 horsepower is also offered, but the future of this version on our continent has yet to be determined.

The 2016 Q3 will go on sale in Germany this February, but we don’t know yet when it will be available here.
