Adidas Will Offer Three Flashy Porsches

As a sports equipment manufacturer, Adidas (like its competitors) is always trying to find ways of getting its products noticed. By diversifying its marketing strategies, the sports giant is making sure it will get maximum visibility.

It’s latest marketing stunt is indeed very visible. To generate attention for its new adizero 5-Star 40 UNCAGED football shoes, Adidas will offer a Porsche 911 to the 3 fastest runners if the NFL, which will be determined in a recruitment event.

The Porsches are base-model Carreras (equipped with the PDK gearbox) with 350 horsepower and are capable of hitting 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. However, the most notable element of these cars is the outside: to make them look like Adidas shoes, a large cheetah has been painted on the cars' sides. The wheels are also unique.

If the winning NFL runners want these Porsches, they will have to sign a contract with Adidas. Said contract states that they have to wear their sponsor's shoes, but I've been unable to find out if they have to keep the huge cats on their cars…
