McLaren 675LT Unveiled Before Geneva
The McLaren 675LT (a more powerful, lighter and generally more extreme version of the 650S) was scheduled to be released for the first time at the Geneva International Motor Show. However, someone leaked a few pictures of the car a few hours ago. The manufacturer then had no choice but to launch the complete press release, including more pictures and the specifications.

The 675LT name stands for two things: First, with the help of a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 that only shares 50% of its components with the mill found in the 650S, the car has 675 pferdestarke (a metric measure of horsepower). Quickly converting this number gives us something we can understand: 666 horsepower. Because of this, we can assume that this new McLaren will boast hellish performance.
Then, to be worthy of the LT name (which stands for Long Tail, as an homage to the McLaren F1 that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans) the car features a long rear deck, which can rise or drop depending on the car’s need for aerodynamics.
Since the car is now 100 kg lighter than the already lightweight 650S, the 675LT has impressive numbers in its arsenal: with a weight of 1,230 kg, the car gets from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, hits a top speed of 330 km/h and accelerates from a standstill to 200 km/h in 7.9 seconds.
We will be at the Geneva Motor Show to marvel at the McLaren 675LT; if you have the equivalent of 260,000 euros (around $370,000), you can get one of the 250 units that will be built.
