Rolls-Royce Serenity: Staying Zen

The world we live in is a stressful place. It’s hard to have a moment of peace among all the meetings, important talks and contract signings.

If you are one of the very few people who live a stressful life and have the means to own a luxury car, Rolls-Royce has built something just for you: the Serenity was recently unveiled in Geneva.

Based on the Phantom, the Serenity is a peaceful oasis for the stressed owner. The brand’s stylists got their inspiration for the car's interior from Japanese clothing and European palaces. Instead of using suede or leather, silk and bamboo are used in an effort to keep you zen. The floral design of a blossoming cherry tree completes the oriental look.

The exterior can also lull you into a meditative state. The car is covered in a white pearl paint, but not just any paint: according to Rolls-Royce, it’s the most expensive paint job they have ever done on a car. Painted in three stages, this bodywork is then hand-polished for 12 hours. You can look at your car and know that someone laboured on it for half a day, just so you could look into its reflection.

The Rolls-Royce Serenity is currently on display at the Geneva International Motor Show. After the show it will go to a buyer who will finally be able to unwind.
