First Image Of The 2016 Chevrolet Spark

You might not see a lot of them on the road, but the Spark is Chevrolet’s offering in the city car segment. The little car is also proving to be quite popular in the rest of the world, so it will come as no surprise that the next iteration of this vehicle will be launched at the Seoul Motor Show on April 2nd (before being presented in New York the next day).

The manufacturer just sent us a teaser of what we can expect from the car’s styling; while the sides look eerily similar to the current crop, the front fascia is reminiscent of the brand’s larger vehicles, like the Cruze and the Malibu. Spyshots have already shown us the car’s new look, and we can confirm that it will share many styling cues with its European cousins the Opel Karl and Vauxhall Viva.

While we don’t know exactly what lurks under the small hood, we can speculate that GM’s 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine will make a comeback; this mill can generate 84 horsepower and is available with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.

We will learn more at the official unveiling on April 2nd.
