Honda Civic Concept: A Big Surprise For New York!

Published on April 1, 2015 in New York by Frédérick Boucher-Gaulin

Usually, manufacturers like to announce that they will unveil a new model a few months before actually doing it; most of the time, we are treated to a few blurry teasers so we know what to expect.

Honda went the other way. Without anybody expecting it, they went ahead and launched the Civic Concept.

Apart from the fact that it’s unbelievably green, we see that the car now sports more dynamic lines that fit the vehicle quite well. The long taillight is also quite stylish, and we hope the production model will retain it.

But the biggest piece of news is regarding the available versions: The sedan and the coupe are back, there is a new hatchback planned, the Si will still be offered… And the Type-R is finally coming here.

If we are to believe Honda’s press release, the legendary Type-R will arrive when the tenth-generation Civic hits dealership.

There is always the possibility that this is nothing more than a big April Fools, but considering there has been a big unveiling in New York, I’m pretty sure it’s real… And it would be a cruel joke.

We will share more information as soon as we have it.
