Lamborghini Polo Storico: Lamborghini's Effort To Remember Its Past

Published on April 17, 2015 in News by Marc-André Gauthier

Having an old car is somewhat problematic: it breaks down, it requires a lot of maintenance, and it can become what enthusiasts lovingly dub a 'money pit.'

Now, imagine that your old car is a Lamborghini. The replacement parts are scarce, rare, expensive, and notoriously unreliable. In fact, owning an old 'bull' is costly and frustrating. Well, until now. Lamborghini has revealed a new program call 'Polo Storico'. Long story short, this program is basically a huge database of documents about Lamborghini cars, ranging from historical papers to technical information about parts..

This database will make the life of Lamborghini owners simpler, by providing valuable information about the maintenance and restoration of their old car. In some cases, this data can be used to manufacture brand new “old” parts. If you want, you can even send your Lamborghini to Europe, where it can be restored to better than new condition by the Polo Storico team.

This program gives Lamborghini a lot of credibility as a manufacturer. Isn’t it the duty of a widely popular and historic car company to honour its past? Well, it would seem that Lamborghini believes so.
