2016 Cadillac ATS-V: We're Driving It This Week
When Cadillac tags a V onto the end of one of its models, you know it’s going to be hot. And fast.
The latest Cadillac to be adorned with this letter is the ATS-V, and www.carguideweb.com contributor Costa Mouzouris is on his way to Austin, Texas, to drive this twin-turbocharged, 455-horsepower example of American muscle, which Cadillac claims is “the smallest, lightest V-Series ever.”

The claims coming from Cadillac are boastful, including the claim from ATS-V chief engineer Tony Roma that, “The ATS-V feels like it was machined from billet steel.”
This is a serious V, with a distinct orientation towards the racetrack, and is equipped with a Performance Data Recorder that records track data and high-definition that video drivers can then share on social media.
Fortunately, our time in Austin also includes some lapping at the Circuit of The Americas racetrack, so stay tuned for our report next week to see if the Cadillac ATS-V performs as claimed.
