A Few Details About The Next Bugatti
If you like delirious statistics, prepare for the next Bugatti: English magazine CAR supposedly got some information on the Veyron’s replacement.
When the Bugatti Veyron was announced, it simply relegated every other supercar to second place. It was the fastest, most powerful and most expensive car ever created.

Now though, things are different. The most recent crop of hypercars (like the Ferrari LaFerrari, the Porsche 918 Spyder and the McLaren P1) can easily beat the porky French car. Even tuners in their Nissan GTRs can now accelerate faster for a fraction of the price!
The next Bugatti will then have to not only match today’s fastest, but also beat them. To do that, the engineers have worked hard: by using the brand’s potent W16 engine developed for the Veyron and updating it, the car will boast 1,500 horsepower, 1,106 pound-feet of torque and should hit 463 km/h. The sprint to 100 km/h from a standing start should be accomplished in 2 seconds flat.
Compared to the Veyron, the newcomer will see 92% of its components updated or outright changed. The car will feature cylinder deactivation, direct injection and electric turbochargers.
The next Bugatti will also bear the name of a driver who’s part of the brand’s history: Chiron.
