Audi Will Bring A TT To Wörthersee

At the upcoming 2015 Wörthersee Tour (one of the biggest events for VAG aficionados), Audi will display a bunch of very interesting concepts, including the TT Clubsport Turbo Concept.

Based on the latest Audi TT, this prototype is much more set towards track performance: it receives a wider body kit, a large rear wing and 20-inch wheels. The grille is also larger, and the car is painted in pearlescent white. The mirrors and the rear wing’s end pieces are also painted orange.

Inside, two bucket seats are covered in suede and are equipped with five-point harnesses. Since the car has a six-speed manual transmission, Audi fitted it with a gated shifter, just like the now-defunct manual R8.

The most interesting modification occurred under the hood; by fitting the 5-cylinder with an electric turbocharger in addition to the regular one, the TT Clubsport Turbo now has 600 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. 0-100 km/h is taken care of in 3.6 seconds and top speed is supposedly around 310 km/h.

While this technology won’t be found in the next TT RS, Audi is certain the electric turbocharger will be found in one of their vehicles sooner rather than later…
