2016 Mazda MX-5: We're Driving It This Week

Published on May 26, 2015 in Spotlight on by The Car Guide

The Car Guide recently travelled to California to drive the all-new Mazda MX-5. This new-and-improved version of the world's most popular roadster -lighter and boasting a new chassis- promises more than interesting performance.

While elsewhere the 2016 MX-5 receives a 1.5 litre engine with 129 horsepower on tap, we get a larger engine in North America. With a displacement of 2 litres, this engine has 155 horsepower available and can scoot from 0 to 100 km/h in seven seconds.

We had the chance to get our hands on the European version a while ago, and our journalist Gabriel Gelinas was impressed with this new car, so you can understand why we are excited to try out the larger engine versions.

Follow our social media feeds for pictures, videos and reports in the coming days.

In the meantime, you can see everything we have previously written about the Mazda MX-5 here.
