Porsches In Forza Horizon 2
If you have played a recent racing video game, you might have noticed that Porsches are notoriously absent (or they have been replaced by RUFs). The reason is simple: long ago, the manufacturer signed an agreement with Electronic Arts (EA), condemning the German cars to only appear in their games. Throughout the years some developers have convinced EA to let them use a few Porsches, but these are isolated cases.
Turn 10 just announced that they managed to convince EA to let them use some high-performance vehicles from Stuttgart in Forza Horizon 2. Ten cars will be available in a DLC pack that costs $9.99:
- 1970 Porsche 914/6
- 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3
- 1987 Porsche 959
- 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo
- 2003 Porsche Carrera GT
- 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 (997)
- 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S
- 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder
- 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS
- 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo
Add to that list -which spans Porsche’s entire lineage- a few races and unique achievements, and you can probably spend more than a few more hours playing Horizon 2, driving through the countryside behind the wheel of these iconic cars.
