Alfa Romeo Announces (US) Pricing For The 4C Spider

When Alfa Romeo announced their 4C sports coupe, we fell in love with its sexy Italian styling; when the manufacturer said that they would do a convertible version, we waited eagerly to find out just how many of our dollars we would have to spend to get behind the wheel of the 4C Spider.

FCA just announced pricing for the US-Spec 4C Spider, which will arrive in dealerships this summer. If you enjoy your Italians topless, prepare to spend the equivalent of $63,900 USD (about $78,700 in Canadian dollars), an increase of around $15,000 CAD compared to the coupe.

For that money, you get a 2-seater sport car with a 1.75-litre four-cylinder engine located amidships, a carbon fibre tub and 237 horsepower sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed automatic twin-clutch transmission.  Since the whole car only weighs 1,261 kilos, it gets from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds.

If you want, you can fit your 4C Sypder with an Akrapovic exhaust, a wide selection of wheels and a Track Package, which gives you high-performance dampers, larger sway bars, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and Pirelli P Zero AR tires.
