The Last Porsche 918 Has Been Built

Just as I was about to head to my Porsche dealership to put down a deposit on a 918 Spyder (black with a red interior, if you must know!), I received some sad news: it’s now too late to get your hands on the German hypercar.

The red car you see in the above pictures was the very last to come out of the assembly plant; before her, 917 other examples rolled down the production line.

In only 2 years (the concept was unveiled in 2010, but the production model came out 3 years later, in 2013), Porsche managed to sell all 918 examples of its flagship car, each sold at around one million dollars.

As for the future, nothing is set in stone; with the resounding success of the 918 Spyder, it’s more than likely the manufacturer will build another supercar in a few years.

We can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.
