Chevrolet Active Phone Cooling Helps Your Phone Keep Its Cool

Have you ever been in a car that doesn't have A/C? Some of our younger readers might have never felt the equivalent of driving around in a convection oven, but know that it's very, VERY unpleasant.

With the arrival of new technologies, most new cars come with A/C. this is nice for us humans, but what about man's new best friend, the cell phone? Doesn't it deserve to get some cool air too?

The idea might sound weird, but it's offered for a very good reason: with the new inductive charging system, your battery might get hot. And since your smartphone might also have to stream music and/or place phone calls, the processor can become so hot that it enters emergency mode and completely shuts off.

To make sure that doesn't happen, Chevrolet will place a small vent behind the inductive recharge plate. Said vent is connected to the A/C and sends fresh air underneath the phone, helping it keep its cool. Thay call it Active Phone Cooling System.
