In an early morning press conference at the opening of the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, the Ford Flex was declared the 2009 Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).

The Ford Flex was chosen over three other "best new" category winners from the Sport Utility / Crossover and Pick-up categories announced October 24, 2008 to garner the top honours as the overall best "Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year".

"Flex is an example of how Ford is daring to do things differently. There's nothing else quite like Flex on the road today and we are thrilled that top auto journalists from across the country have recognized the Canadian-built Flex for its quality, safety and distinct design," said David Mondragon, president and CEO, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited.
