Refer A Friend To Tesla, Win $1000
We know that Tesla doesn’t do things like everyone else. Instead of selling their vehicles through a dealership network operated by third parties, the Californian manufacturer decided to offer their cars directly to customers via their website; Tesla stores are mostly there for repairing and presenting the Model S, as well as deliveries.
This new business scheme frightens a lot of dealership owners; they have even pressured lawmakers to make such a way of selling cars illegal in some US states.
Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk just announced another way of publicizing their Model S: current owners of a Tesla can send an electronic link to a friend, a member of their family or anyone else they can convince to buy a new electric vehicle; not only will this apply a $1,000 rebate to their purchase, but it will also give the person who referred them $1,000 that can be used for servicing their car or buying Tesla merchandise. People who refer a lot of customers could win prizes like a guided visit to Tesla’s megafactory, or even the opportunity to buy a limited-edition Model X with a $25,000 rebate.
This new strategy could drop Tesla’s costs even further; the manufacturer says that it costs them $2,000 to sell a car through the regular process.
Tesla is also on the verge of launching their brand-new vehicle, the Model X SUV, which will arrive this fall. Tesla has a lot of hope placed in this model, since it wants to use it to reach the 55,000 units sold-mark in 2015.
