A Honda Pickup For SEMA
Honda recently mentioned that they were working on a new Ridgeline; in case you don’t remember it, this vehicle was essentially a Pilot that had its rear cargo area replaced with a pickup bed.
For the 2015 SEMA Show, Honda decided to hit two birds with one stone: not only have they shown what the upcoming Ridgeline would look like, which should hit the market around 2017 if everything goes to plan, but they also confirmed they will run the SCORE Baja 1000 with it!

Under the 2017 Ridgeline’s skin (which looks just like the Pilot, as the last one did) the Ridgeline Baja doesn’t have a lot in common with its production variant: it is made with a tubular chassis and is built using high-performance components.
Under its hood sits a 3.5-litre V6 that has been heavily modified: with a pair of turbochargers and some other modifications kept secret by Honda, the engine develops around 550 horsepower.
There is no chance that the 2017 Ridgeline we will be able to get in dealerships will have that much power… but one can hope.
