First Sketches Of The Genesis G90

Hyundai is fully committed to its Genesis division; a few short days after announcing the creation of the brand and its nomenclature (the Genesis sedan will become the G80), the Korean automaker now shows us sketches of the next G90.

As far as we can see, it’s pretty much a production version of the Vision G that we saw at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Élégance on August 16th. Styling-wise, it’s more finished, and we can now clearly see that it will be a full-size sedan (while the concept was a coupe). The car has nice proportions and muscular lines, and there are lots of shiny surfaces.

The drivetrain hasn’t been shown (and the final version probably isn’t ready yet), but the manufacturer says that as the flagship sedan of the Genesis brand, the G90 will have a wide array of technologies.

Genesis will only have two models to start with, but the brand will expand drastically in the next decade; a smaller sedan (the G70) is planned, as well as a midsize crossover, a coupe and a large crossover.
