2017 Buick LaCrosse: Luxury And (Finally!) More Style
Buick used the Los Angeles Auto Show as an opportunity to unveil the latest generation of its full-size sedan, the 2017 LaCrosse.
As expected, the Buick LaCrosse's styling is based on the Avenir Concept; the front fascia, the LED headlights, the new grille fitted with a pair of wings on either side of the logos, the slim taillights and even the side profile are really close to the original concept that was unveiled in Detroit earlier this year.
The 2017 Buick LaCrosse is all-new, and using a more modern platform made it no less than 136 kilos lighter than the outgoing model.
The LaCrosse’s interior has also been thoroughly updated: the materials are of much better quality, and exterior noise has also been muffled with the help of soundproofing, laminated glass as well as an active noise cancellation system.
Under the hood, we find a 3.6-litre V6 developing 306 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to an optional all-wheel drive system, or to a standard front-wheel drivetrain on the base model.
The 2017 Buick LaCrosse should arrive early next summer.
