Bugatti's Domination On Land And Sea: Chiron And Niniette, A $3,000,000 Yacht

While the Chiron is crucial for the brand, its nautical division is equally hard at work; they will soon unveil a new boat, the Niniette. Why is it named the Niniette? It was the nickname Ettore Bugatti gave to his daughter Lidia.
Despite what you think, this isn’t the first time the brand has designed a boat. Mr. Bugatti himself was building them in the Thirties, most notably race boats. 80 years later, his company is still at it, but they radically changed their model.
Thanks to a partnership between Bugatti and Palmer Johnson – known for building the largest carbon-fibre boat on the planet -, the Niniette will be born. According to the press release, it will be the first in a new category of luxurious carbon-fibre yachts.
With exclusive materials like exotic woods, titanium, carbon fibre in addition to a "typical Bugatti design," this project can only be covered with success. If you look closely at the Niniette’s lines, you can see inspiration taken from a few of the brand’s iconic vehicles. For example, you can see similarities between the yacht and the Bugatti Type 41 Royale and the Type 57 C Atalante, two icons of their time.
This floating beauty will be sold in three different versions: the PJ42 Niniette, PJ63 Niniette and PJ88 Niniette. The first has a 13-metre hull, while the second is 20 metres long. The last one sits atop the lineup, with a 27-metre hull. This luxurious yacht will take about 12 months to be built. Selling price hovers around 2 million euros for the longer version, and 1.5 million for the "base model."
