Jannarelly Design-1: Carbon Fibre And Spectacular Design

Published on December 30, 2015 in News by Frédérick Boucher-Gaulin

Automotive history is littered with ambitious projects... though they were not all successful. There have always been wild ideas, impossible ideas of futuristic technologies that were only awaiting investors to change the world.

At the upcoming Dubai Auto Show, we will meet a new player in the rare-and-exclusive car segment: named Jannarelly, the brand already has a more impressive pedigree than a lot of would-be automakers. It is led by Anthony Jannarelley, designer of W Motors' Lykan Hypersport.

The brand's first vehicle will be the Design-1; we only have the 3D renders to go on, but it's easy to see that the designer took inspiration from 50s and 60s roadsters, as well as some of the race cars that ran in the 24 Hours Of Le Mans during the same era (like the Jaguar D-Type and the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa)

Under its carbon fibre bodywork will sit an aluminum chassis, structural panels of the same material as well as a mid-mounted DOHC V6.

We are eager to see the first prototype, which will be shown in Dubai in February.
