Star Wars' Landspeeder On Display In Quebec

If you like Star Wars, schedule a visit to the Quebec City Auto Show where you’ll be able to see one of the most beloved vehicles of the original franchise.

This year, the Quebec Auto Show will host more than a few Hollywood stars, like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ van, Scooby Doo’s Mystery Machine, a military Humvee starring in American Sniper, Mr. Bean’s Mini Austin and the Mitsubishi Eclipse of the first Fast And Furious movie.

However, the star of the show will be Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder – seen for the first time in A New Hope. The vehicle now belongs to a fan in the Tilton, New Hampshire area.

The most observant among you will notice that the vehicle has wheels under it; since repulsor technology has yet to be perfected, the Landspeeder can’t float in mid-air. A clever set of mirrors hid the tires during the movie scenes.

If you want to see the vehicle, head up to the Quebec City Auto Show at the Expocité, on March 1 through 6, 2016.
