Next Nissan Armada: Will we Get the Patrol?

While North America is a big consumer of SUVs, some of these segments' most iconic members are not sold here. For example, the Toyota Land Cruiser, the Land Rover Defender and the Nissan Patrol are excellent trucks that, for one reason or another, are not offered on our market.

The above picture recently surfaced on the Internet, and it seems to show us the next Nissan Armada.

If that’s the case, it would mean two things. First, Nissan would have decided to keep the Armada despite slow sales. Second, the manufacturer may have decided to cut costs by not creating its Armada on the Titan platform, instead opting for a light cosmetic job on the Patrol.

In case you didn’t know the Patrol, this 4x4 is one of the most revered offroad vehicles ever produced. It was launched in 1967, and is now used by the United Nations as official diplomat transport.

This move would make a lot of sense for Nissan, and would give us access to a very efficient and luxurious 4x4.

  • On the other hand, it would have been interesting to see an Armada on the 2016 Titan XD's platform
