2017 Ram Power Wagon: New Style, Same Off-Road Performance

The Ram 2500 Power Wagon is one of the most unique trucks on the market. Capable of hauling large payloads over difficult terrain, this off-roader managed to carve itself a nice part of this niche market.

For 2017, the truck receives a makeover: instead of sporting its own distinctive style, it will now take visual cues from the Ram 1500 Rebel.

This means that the chrome bumpers and the grille have been painted matte black. Said grille no longer boasts a crosshair design; it now sports the Rebel's mustache. The stickers that looked like mud splattering on the truck's flanks are also replaced by vertical stripes.

Under the hood, no changes: the 6.4-litre HEMI V8 is still pushing 410 horsepower, which are sent to all four wheels through a manual transfer case. Towing capacity still stands at 10,030 pounds, while the 12,000-pound winch is still standard.
