Updates for the 2017 Mercedes-Benz CLA
Mercedes-Benz’ smallest sedan in North America is the CLA. It is about to receive some well-deserved visual tweaks, and the 2017 version will be shown at the New York Auto Show.
First of all, the car receives new 18-inch wheels, a new grille as well as reworked front and rear bumpers. There are also new colours offered, like Lunar Blue.

The cockpit is also been redone; while the infotainement screen still looks like an iPad bolted to the dashboard, it is now less bulky. The instrument panel has changed, there are now more chrome as well as new options for the interior such as matte black wood trims.
Engine-wise, we still get the choice between the 2.0-litre, turbocharged engine of the CLA 250, which develops 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the AMG GLA 45, now producing 375 horsepower and 375 pound-feet of torque. With the latter, the 0-100 sprint is taken care of in 4.1 seconds.
Europeans get a lot of different gasoline and diesel powertrains ranging between 136 and 381 horsepower. They also get the Shooting Brake variant, a sleek wagon that has no chances of ever coming here.
