2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet and SLC: We’re Driving Them This Week

The Car Guide will be travelling to the French Riviera in order to drive top-down in the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet as well as the Mercedes-Benz SLC.

After the S-Class sedan redesign in 2014 and the addition of the S-Class Coupe last year, which replaced the CL-Class, the German manufacturer is launching a convertible version of their flagship model. We’ll also be testing its high-performance equivalent, the Mercedes-AMG S 63 4MATIC Cabriolet. Besides two extra seats, how different is the droptop S-Class from the 2017 Mercedes-Benz SL roadster? That’s what we’ll find out.

The Mercedes-Benz SLC and Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 are moderately reworked versions of the outgoing SLK compact roadster. The new name was chosen to draw the car closer to the C-Class family of vehicles. As with the case with its predecessor, the SLC features a power-folding hard top, but boasts a refreshed exterior and a revised cockpit with higher-quality materials.

So stay tuned for our first drive review of these open-top luxury coupes right here on The Car Guide.
