Pierre Michaud will leave the helm of the RPM show airing on V Tele in Quebec. The April 17 episode will be his last.

Pierre Michaud worked as an automotive journalist for 27 years. He started doing television in the eighties. He spent 16 seasons hosting RPM and 3 for RPM+, which equates to about 500 episodes. Throughout his career, M. Michaud test-drove more than 1500 cars!

"I am leaving the show so I can further develop Torq (a creative agency which he owns), but I will remain the producer for RPM and RPM+. I also want to develop the RPM brand; my new status as co-owner of the Annuel de l’Automobile reflects that," says M. Michaud. He will also still be producing other shows at V Tele like Ça va brasser, Aubaine & Cie and Trucs & Cie.

"Speaking for the whole V family, I want to thank Pierre for his years at our channel, which greatly contributed to our success. Very respected in the automotive world, Pierre is THE reference with its 27 years as a journalist. We are very proud of the work he did at V and the expertise he left us. We wish him the best in its future endeavors," says Jacques Mathieu, Content and Development Director.

The next season of RPM+ will be hosted by Benoit Charette and Antoine Joubert. Both have been collaborators for the last few seasons. RPM is watched by 730 000 viewers each week, and RPM+ by 660 000 viewers.
