3500 Subarus Recalled for Steering Problems

Published on May 16, 2016 in Recalls by Frédérick Boucher-Gaulin

The 2016-2017 Subaru Legacy and Outback are now the target of a recall: Transport Canada recently published a warning about those vehicles.

On some of these, parts of the steering column might be defective. This could cause the car to lose its steering capabilities, which is a safety risk if we're driving.

Around 3500 units are affected in Canada; in North America, the total is around 45 000.

Dealers will have to check the affected steering columns and change them if necessary.

If you own one of these models, you should receive a letter from the manufacturer shortly.
