Summer Fun While Washing Your Ride
Saturday morning. It's going to be nice and warm. Sticky, even. Mow the lawn? Yuck! Get groceries? No way! Return books to the library? Are you kidding! If you have some time on your hands, why not take advantage and wash your car. Because tonight, when you take it out to grab a cone at the ice cream shop on the corner, everyone in town will notice your sparkly ride without a spec of dust or spot of grease.
Washing your car is more than just a simple pastime. It's the ideal moment to admire its every curve and line, every perfectly (or not) aligned piece of plastic. When you wash your car, you'll also notice any recent paint chips or scratches. Once the body has dried and before the dust settles again, you can deal with any small damage that your car has suffered along the way.
Now that you've finished with the car’s exterior, still don't fancy cutting the grass or heading to the supermarket and library? Let's move on to the cabin. There's work to do there too.
Here again, you can admire the dash and trim—whether the finish is chrome, wood-grain, satin, black, carbon fibre or imitation titanium. Examine the leather that's so common in vehicles now, supporting thousands of farmers, perhaps, but killing a lot of cows in the process. Out of respect for the animals, treat your leather well. If it's faux leather, that's another story. But there's no such thing as faux clean, so you still have to look after it!
How important is a beautiful lawn, a full fridge or avoiding late fees, anyway? No one at the ice cream shop is going to notice. But your car—that’s another story!
