2017 Volkswagen #Pinkbeetle: For the Millenials

Published on June 2, 2016 in News by Frédérick Boucher-Gaulin

Volkswagen advertises its Beetle as a car for a hip, young crowd. However, not many of these young buyers are lining up to buy the stylish little vehicle, storied past or not.

With the latest special edition of the Beetle, Volkswagen is trying to attract the millennials, and more specifically young women: the very cute car in the above picture is the #Pinkbeetle. Yes, the pound sign is part of the name, and it is pronounced Hashtag Pink Beetle.

Welcome to the future.

This little Beetle features a unique metallic Fuschia Pink paint as well as black mirror caps.

Inside, the #Pinkbeetle features pink accenting on the dashboard as well as the door panels and handles. Volkswagen also uses the Golf GTI’s tartan seats, but replace the red stripes with pink ones. The result is… unique.

Two versions will be available: a coupe and a convertible.

The 2017 Volkswagen #Pinkbeetle will be launched next fall; pricing will be announced closer to its arrival date.
