Circuit Mont Tremblant Does Something Different: A Car Show

Published on August 7, 2016 in News by The Car Guide

In a rare occurrence, Circuit Mont Tremblant will be opening its doors and holding a large car show aiming to attract enthusiasts from all over the automotive and tuning communities.

The event – organized by MontrealRacing.com in conjunction with seven other local event promoters including Eurokracy, Car Fever, Auto Acethetics, High Society, So Clean, Octane Fix, & SCP – is called Cars On Fire and takes place on August 20, 2016.

The track will be filled with parked vehicles, trucks & motorcycles rather than the screaming sound of high-speed race cars. It aims to be one of the most unique events of the season, according to lead organizer Danny Geraghty, who is also the administrator for the tuning community MontrealRacing.com.

“We wanted to hold an event that brought together the entire community under one banner since it’s never been done before,” Geraghty said in an email to The Car Guide.

Normally used for race team & trailer parking, the paddock area will be transformed into a show & shine which has a different aspect to it: voting via smartphone. By allowing the crowd to interact and choose the winners, the event hopes to eliminate some of the perceived bias often seen at judged competitions.

In another first, the team from Eurokracy will be conducting a car limbo competition at a third-party event. Eurokracy pioneered the fun competition where people drive their vehicles under a bar to determine who is the lowest.
