2016 Toyota Venza gets Redwood Edition package

Toyota is bidding adieu to the Venza crossover after the 2016 model year, and it's hoping a new no-charge trim package will help move some units.

While the Venza remains largely unchanged for the 2016 model year, Toyota has added the new Redwood Edition to the Venza lineup, which builds on the mid-grade XLE trim and adds unique perforated leather seats and special badging.

Available on all-wheel drive Venza models, the XLE trim adds a navigation system, leather seating throughout, including heated front seats, a power tailgate, and panoramic roof.

The Venza AWD XLE Redwood Edition, powered by Toyota's 2.7 litre four-cylinder engine, is priced at $36,550, while the Venza V6 AWD XLE is listed at $38,305.

Those looking for either model in XLE trim minus the Redwood Edition finishes can go that route for the same MSRPs.
