Honda unveils redesigned 2016 Civic sedan
The new Honda Civic will have a much more Accord-like look to it when it goes on sale this fall.
Honda unveiled the sedan variant of the 10th generation Civic as it gears up to hit the market, the first in a Civic lineup that will include a coupe, and a five-door hatchback, as well as the first-ever Civic Type-R model to hit North American shores.
The sedan has a wheelbase that is 1.2 inches longer than the outgoing version while the car is nearly two inches wider and one inch lower.
The 2016 Civic sedan will feature two all-new, engines, including a a 2.0-litre four-cylinder in LX and EX trims, and a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder in EX-T, EX-L trims and Touring trims.
Power numbers were not released, but Honda said the 1.5-litre engine, the first turbocharged engine in a North American Honda model, will the most powerful ever offered in a non-Si Civic here.
