Chevrolet unveiled the all-new 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, showing off a production version that holds pretty true to the concept unveiled early last year.

With 2016 Chevrolet Volt-like upper and lower grilles, the Bolt EV, an all-electric hatchback that will offer a GM-claimed "more 320 kilometres" of driving range on a full charge, falls very much in line with the rest of the brand's lineup.

Not much is being released on the technical side, though Chevrolet said the car's 10-inch MyLink infotainment screen will boast "EV-specific navigation capability" that tailors driving routes to maximize range while providing nearby charging station locations, while the offering a video game-like experience "in the future" that will allow owners to "compete" by comparing driving styles to determine who is driving most efficiently.

The Bolt EV will go into production by the end of 2016.
