2017 Honda Accord Hybrid is more powerful, fuel efficient
After a brief hiatus, the Honda Accord Hybrid is making its return for the 2017 model year.
Set to go on sale in the coming months, the 2017 Accord Hybrid gets the same mid-cycle refresh introduced on the non-hybrid 2016 Accord, while also getting improved power and fuel efficiency numbers.

Powered by the same two-motor hybrid system with a 2.0-litre Atkinson Cycle inline four-cylinder, the 2017 version now makes a combined 212 horsepower, up from 196 horsepower, while the United States government rated it at a combined 48 mpg—equal to 4.9 L/100 km.
That's only slightly better than the combined 5 L/100 km rating of the previous version.
Honda says the electrified Accord also boasts a lithium-ion battery pack that measures smaller than the one found in its predecessor, giving the car a trunk size of 382 litres compared to 360 litres.
Elsewhere, the car adds an available seven-inch touchscreen infotainment interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone compatibility, and the Honda Sensing suite of safety technologies.
Honda says it will be available in base, EX-L and Touring trims when it goes on sale this spring.
