Porsche is taking the Cayenne platinum, announcing new Platinum Edition models that "will be recognizable by their distinctive sporty appearance."

Set to hit the market for the 2017 model year, the Cayenne and Cayenne S E-Hybrid Platinum Edition variants "offer a high level of content at an attractive price," according to Porsche, including 20-inch RS Spyder design wheels.

Those wheels are housed in wider wheel arches, while Bi-Xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), dark tinted windows and a high gloss black exterior trim package are standard equipment.

Inside, the Cayenne Platinum Edition models get eight-way electrically-adjustable leather seats with Alcantara center panels, Porsche crest on the head rests, stainless steel door sills with illuminated "Platinum Edition" lettering, and a BOSE surround sound system.

Both versions of the new Platinum Edition are set to go on sale later this year.
