First pictures of the 2018 Kia Rio
Last week, we showed you sketches of the redesigned Rio subcompact, and now, Kia just released a few images of the actual vehicle that will make its global debut at the Mondial de l’automobile in Paris at the end of the month.
The new Kia Rio, which will be badged as a 2018MY vehicle when it arrives in Canada, features a 2580-mm wheelbase (up by 10) and an overall length of 4065 mm (up by 15), while width and height have grown and shrunk by 5 mm, respectively.

The car gets a longer hood and front overhang, while the rear overhang has been shortened for what the manufacturer calls a “more balanced stance.” The front grille is slimmer than before for a more dynamic look, and the rear window is more upright than the one on the current-generation Rio.
Powertrains haven’t yet been announced, as Kia will likely share this technical information at the auto show in Paris.
