Recall for the 2016 Hyundai Tucson
The Hyundai Tucson, redesigned last year with a new and optional turbocharged, 1.6-litre engine, is the subject of a recall.
According to Transport Canada, the seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission that’s mated to the Tucson’s turbo engine will need to be reprogrammed. In higher temperatures, the transmission clutch could delay its operation when accelerating from a stop, and if the gas pedal is repeatedly cycled, the vehicle might not accelerate. This loss of forward motion could increase the risk of a collision and injuries.
