We knew that the Jeep Grand Wagoneer was coming back in the next few years. We also knew that FCA was thinking about making it a competitor to the German SUVs. Finally, we also learned that the platform of the upcoming Jeep Grand Cherokee would be used in its creation.

Here is a little more information about the new Grand Wagoneer: according to Jeep's Mike Manley, FCA's CEO Sergio Marchionne wants to compete directly with the Range Rover. That's right; the Grand Wagoneer will go head-to-head against the world's classiest SUV.

During an interview, M. Manley said that the fully-loaded version of the Grand Wagoneer could cost up to USD$130,000-$140,000. Before that, the newcomer's reputation will have to be cemented, which means that the first model years will probably be less expensive than that.
