2017 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro: New Family Member, Ready to Get Dirty

In our market, the TRD Pro lineup isn’t as well-known and widely spread as it is in the U.S. With the arrival of a third model in Canada, we now have the complete collection: here is the 2017 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro.

This model has been sold in the United States for a while, but it has now arrived north of the border.

Visually, this model is recognizable by its black badges, its fully-lettered Toyota grille, its black wheels and its visible front protective plate. Inside, the truck features a unique shift knob as well as weatherproof floor mats.

Under the hood of the 4Runner sits a well-known Toyota mill, as the good old 4.0-litre V6 is unchanged from the regular version. For better off-road performance, there is a locking diff at the back as well as Crawl Control, a feature we experimented on the Tacoma TRD Pro.

Just like the Tacoma and Tundra, the 4Runner features unique suspensions developed by Bilstein, supplemented by TRD remote reservoirs.

The 2017 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro will arrive in dealerships in a few months.
