FIA Rolls Out GT Grids

While F1 promises to provide race fans with an entertaining season, the pure cost of each and every little piece, and the sponsorship dollars at risk means that, as always, the upper crust of open wheel racing will continue to be the fast, clean, surgical enterprise it always has been.

But for those that enjoy slightly more rough and tumble racing, the familiar fallback of FIA GT racing will return with one of the most exclusive and visually appealing fields ever... um... fielded. With 50 cars competing, many of the most exclusive vehicles will be returning, including the gorgeous works of art that are the Maserati MC12, Saleen S7R, and Ferrari F430, while a few newcomers will be spicing the races up. Matech will be fielding a choice Ford GT, while Nissan is unsurprisingly unleashing a GTR upon the GT1 class. In GT3, an Alpina B6 GT3 will be appearing alongside a very racy looking Audi R8 LMS.
