The Lucid Motors Air on the Roads of San Francisco

The new fully electric luxury sedan was out in public for a spin on California roads, not wearing any camouflage, and its maker shot some video.

The Lucid Motors Air is said to boast 1000 horsepower, good for a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time of 2.5 seconds and a driving range of 640 kilometres. Obviously, the car would also offer a fully autonomous driving mode. According to Lucid Motors, the car is a midsizer, but its cockpit has the roominess of a full-size sedan.

Production of the Air should start at the end of 2018 in a factory located in Arizona, while the first deliveries should start in early 2019. It should cost more than USD$100,000. For now, we don’t know if the car will eventually be sold in Canada, but let’s wait and see if it will be successfully launched in the United States as planned.
