2017 World Car Awards: Top Three Finalists Revealed

At the Geneva Auto Show last week, the top three finalists in each of six distinct World Car Awards categories were announced. In terms of media reach, the World Car Awards have been ranked as the number one automotive awards program in the world, and its jury consists of 75 journalists spread across the world, including two in Canada.

In the overall World Car of the Year category, the top three finalists are:

Audi Q5
Jaguar F-PACE
Volkswagen Tiguan

In the World Luxury Car of the Year category, the top three finalists are:

BMW 5 Series
Mercedes-Benz E-Class
Volvo S90/V90

In the World Performance Car of the Year category, the top three finalists are:

Audi R8 Spyder
McLaren 570S
Porsche 718 Boxster/Cayman

In the World Green Car of the Year category, the top three finalists are:

Chevrolet Bolt EV
Tesla Model X
Toyota Prius Prime

In the World Urban Car of the Year category, the top three finalists are:

BMW i3 (94 Ah)
Citroën C3
Suzuki Ignis

In the World Car Design of the Year category, the top three finalists are:

Jaguar F-PACE
Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet
Toyota C-HR

The overall winners in each category will be revealed at the upcoming New York Auto Show on April 13.
