The little Hyundai KONA SUV confirmed for Canada
This summer, Hyundai will unveil the KONA, a subcompact SUV that will be positioned below the Hyundai Tucson in the brand’s line-up, and that will rival the Mazda CX-3, the Honda HR-V, the Chevrolet Trax, the Jeep Renegade and the Mitsubishi RVR, among others.
According to the automaker, the KONA will feature “expressive and muscular” bodywork, with double headlights and LED daytime running lights. Also promised are dynamic driving characteristics.

Otherwise, no other details have been published so far. The company is relying on the KONA to boost their sales numbers in Europe, as Hyundai plans to become the biggest Asian manufacturer on the European continent by 2021. The subcompact SUV segment is very popular over there, just like it is here, so the KONA will be an important model for Hyundai.
This new SUV will be launched on the European market this summer. Hyundai Canada confirmed that the KONA will reach the Canadian market, but later on. In fact, it could arrive in time to rival other newcomers to the subcompact segment such as the 2018 Ford EcoSport, the 2017 Nissan Qashqai and the 2018 Toyota C-HR.
