Fiat Chrysler Automobiles released pricing for its new Stelvio performance luxury SUV, which will include the brand’s Q4 intelligent all-wheel drivetrain.

The Stelvio and Stelvio Ti will be on sale later this summer with a starting MSRP of $52,995 and $54,995, respectively, excluding freight and delivery charges. As for the Stelvio Quadrifoglio and its 505-horsepower engine, its on-sale date and price will be unveiled later this year.

The Stelvio is equipped with a turbocharged and direct-injected, 2.0-litre that produces 280 horsepower, allowing the SUV to run from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. It will obviously include many standard features such as a genuine leather-lined cockpit, heated front seats and steering wheel, remote engine start, bi-xenon headlights, dual exhaust outlets, a carbon fibre driveshaft and an F1-inspired flat-bottomed steering wheel, among other things.

“The all-new Stelvio further highlights and expands Alfa Romeo’s return to North America with a premium midsize SUV that truly stands apart in the segment,” said Reid Bigland, Head of Alfa Romeo. “As an SUV that could only be born in Italy, the entire Stelvio lineup delivers class-leading power, exceptional driving dynamics, standard all-wheel drive, advanced technologies, gorgeous Italian design and a race-inspired driving experience.”

It got its name from the Stelvio Pass, the highest mountain pass of the Italian Alps.
